Several sources confirm that homosexual acts are illegal in Guinea-Bissau.

Penal Code of 1886, which was inherited from the Portuguese rule, is in force. Articles 70 and 71 in the Portuguese Penal Code of 1886, ad security measures on people who habitually practice acts against the order of nature, stating such people shall be sent to labor camps [R1.1].
