National

The penal code in Uzbekistan prohibits consensual sex between same-sex couples and imposes up to 3 years imprisonment upon offenders [R1.1].


The Criminal Code of 1994 (effective April 1, 1995, as amended to 1999), provides -

Article 120. Besoqolbozlik (Homosexual Intercourse)

Besoqolbozlik, that is, voluntary sexual intercourse of two male individuals - shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years. [R1.2].
